What did you like most about this instructor and course?

  1. Use of technology in regards to writing. I.e. wiki/Twitter. Instructor was engaging and helpful.
  2. It does what it says it does. The course is very good at combining technology and styles of writing.
  3. His originality and creative assignments make them interesting and an actual joy to complete.
  4. The class material + class discussions always made me think. Honestly, one of the best classes I've ever taken.
  5. Professor Mueller is knowledgeable and enthusiastic. Makes (mostly) dry topics fun in a way and has unique insights.
  6. Looking into various perspectives of style in an interesting manner.
  7. Derek is a great professor and really tried to get us to think about style and how technology affects it.
  8. Very helpful, tries to make the course content applicable to individual experience.
  9. Instructor is avante-garde and cutting edge of technology.
  10. He always taught in a different way. For example lecture, slide show, movies, text. The course was not what I was expecting but was fun!
  11. Creative applications of technology to writing.
  12. Very friendly atmosphere, assignments were fun.
  13. I liked our assignments--very different, out of the box, fun actually. Derek is incredibly knowledgeable and it shows.
  14. The creative freedom we were allowed.
  15. Very creative and stimulating projects.
  16. I liked a few of the projects we did, he made them fun and relatable.

What did you dislike most about this instructor and course?

  1. Enjoyed both.
  2. Group work.
  3. Nothing immediately comes to mind. Good prof, good course.
  4. The wiki project did not work very well.
  5. A bit too much time spent on lectures. I learn more by 'doing' than 'listening.'
  6. Strunk and Williams!
  7. I didn't like how I couldn't use font and color in Project One. But that's it!
  8. Not my major.
  9. Verbal assignment instructions can be confusing.
  10. I don't like presenting or talking too much, but his expectations were not unreasonable.

What constructive suggestions do you have for this instructor or course?

  1. Change the wiki project a bit.
  2. For things like Twitter, a more specific and guided rubric.
  3. I feel like project 2 could work better if it were an individual assignment.
  4. N/A
  5. Try to better explain projects initially.
  6. Keep using twitter -- but w/ some more direction.
  7. Let us turn SPs in in any font!
  8. Develop Twitter more thoroughly.
  9. Maybe rework the project schedule to put the 3.33 remake sooner.
  10. Some things were a little unclear & then you'd go off on a speech to try to clear it up but sometimes it was still confusing. Good job! Thumbs up!
